5 Gifts Dads Will Love
Posted by Mary Babiez on May 27 2014
Who doesn't struggle year after year with what to get Dad for Father's Day. If you ask him, you know he'll always say, "All I want is to spend time with you." Well, that may be true, but you know you're not going empty handed, right?
So instead of another shirt, book of car wash coupons, or tchotchke for the garage, get him something he wouldn't think of getting for himself. He may not need it, but once he tries it, he's gonna love it!
1. Premium shaving set - There are many ways you can go depending on your budget, either high end or lower, but don't go too low. Products should be all natural or organic and easy on the skin. Think The Art of Shaving, Caswell-Massey, Kiehls, or Homespun Naturals. Buy a few nice items and wrap them up or buy a set already wrapped and ready to go.
2. Man candles - Man candles are all the rage, and depending on your budget, you can give Dad a manly smelling candle in a nice gift bag or combine it with a few of his other favorite things for a unique gift basket or collection. For manly candles, think campfire, fresh cut grass, bacon. If you're a fan of Yankee candles, they have such manly scents as bacon, mantown (spicy), and riding mower (cut grass). Other unique scents at Mancave Candles include leather jacket, woodburning fireplace, and off the grill. If these are all a little scary, I personally love Gabriel John's elegant black and silver NV collection for men. These handmade fragrances are on the lighter side and categorized as Health, Wealth, Happiness, and Love.
3. Gourmet BBQ set - Treat Dad to the latest and greatest BBQ tools and tastes! Whether it's a new set of tools, wood planks, a new grill basket or his favorite sauce and rub, you can't go wrong with a gourmet BBQ set for the season!
4. Men's bath and body set - Throw away his bar of grocery store soap and give him an all natural collection of shower and shave products. Good Fortune Soaps makes some great products for both men and women - all natural and wonderful fragrances. We put a few of our favorite products in a travel toiletry bag and it's ready for gifting!
5. Puzzle Challenge - For the really hard-to-buy-for, puzzles are always a fun surprise. You can choose what's best for his skill level or interest level with everything from 9 piece Scramble Squares (think rubik's cube) to 1000 piece or 3D puzzle scapes.
