Last week, we shipped a housewarming gift basket to Fox Island, Washington. Where is that, you ask? It’s an island in Puget Sound, population 3,633. From the Fox Island Community and Recreation Association, it looks something like this:

One of our corporate customers has a client who relocated to Fox Island, and they called us with a request for a very special custom housewarming gift basket. The destination was Fox Island and that was our theme.

So I scoured the internet for the best foods from the area, and anything specific to Fox Island. The focal point was this historical book about the island, hardcover, so a nice coffee table or desktop gift!

We then put together a quality selection of foods either made in Washington or with strong association to Washington:

• Fran’s chocolate sea salt caramels (made in Seattle)
• Starbucks coffee
• Almond roca (famous toffee made in Tacoma)
• Cherry scone mix
• Salmon with crackers from Washington
• Sahale Snacks trail mix (originally from Seattle)

We finished with a nature inspired design, complete with realistic silk floral and a custom made gift card with mountain/water scene, and they were delighted with the selection and the final result:

Custom gift baskets are a favorite of mine for their uniqueness and creativity. While they take more time to put together, they are always worth the WOW factor!
