Not sure how to spend your day with Dad on Father’s Day? Here’s a list of ideas for Father’s Day activities that work just as well for the whole family as they do for a one-on-one with Dad.
Play golf – A great way to enjoy the outdoors and quality time with Dad! Depending on your skill level, plan a golf outing for a day on the course or at your local mini golf location.
Plan a BBQ with backyard games – If Dad is a fan of the grill, plan to fire up a few of his favorite fixin's and don’t forget the bags, horseshoes or other favorite games.
Visit a museum, zoo, or aquarium – No matter what the weather does this weekend; spend a day touring a favorite museum, zoo or aquarium. If the sun is shining, eat outdoors after taking in the sights.
Go for a bike ride – Find a new trail or ride along an old favorite for a healthy, quality day with Dad.
Take a nature hike – Enjoy the outdoors and quiet time with Dad on a hike of his choice at a forest trail, nature preserve, or botanic garden.
Go to a movie – A particularly good idea if it’s rainy outside, go for a matinee followed by a meal at Dad’s favorite restaurant.
Spend a day on the water – Whether it’s a kayak, canoe, row boat or bigger vessel, if the weather cooperates, pack a picnic, spend the afternoon on the water and enjoy being together.
Have a camp out – Pack up the tent and head outdoors for an overnight. Nothing strikes up good conversation and laughter than a late night campfire!
