I am in the midst of a project to create custom gift baskets for an upcoming event for the Women's Business Development Center of Chicago. It is their annual women in business conference and the gift baskets are being designed for the key sponsors of the event. The key request when they came to me to create the baskets was that all the items in the baskets are from women owned businesses in Chicago and some nearby states where WBDC has a presence.

Well this has turned out to be an amazing project because I have found so many new and wonderful products from these amazing women owned businesses. Everything from handmade tote bags to the tastiest popcorn to artistic chocolate to exotic beverage syrups...and that's not all! Not only have the products proven their value in quality and flavor, but the women who create all of the products are amazing artists and business owners. I have so enjoyed getting to know them and their products and definitely plan to create more custom gift basket designs with their products for everyone to enjoy. 

I don't want to spoil the surprise of the completed baskets before the event, but when the baskets are complete (around 9/15), I'll post photos. Stay tuned!
