Today is Patriot Day. We will see many sentiments, stories, and images on Facebook representing our promise of 14 years ago to "Never Forget". It was a dark day in our history, and most people can easily recount where they were, who they were with, and what they were doing. 

I worked with United Airlines at the time, so it was especially heart wrenching for me, although as I say that, I'm sure there is no degree of less or more heart wrenching for any American on that day. So many lives were affected in so many different ways. 

But we were united as a country, and while our current days are filled with news of guns, violence, bigotry, and ridiculous political antics, let us all take this day (at least this one day) to remember.
