For many people, February starts to feel like the winter doldrums. Christmas cheer is long gone, the days are still short, we can't figure out what that old groundhog is going to do, and on and on with a host of other reasons we just want it to be spring! But February is one of my favorite months.

Every year Ken and I go to the Northwoods for a long weekend of cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and otherwise just playing in the snow! With the hustle and bustle of Christmas and January planning for the new year, February is a nice time to take a short break and share a little love, so we always go on Valentine's weekend. Once that weekend is done, it really does feel like Spring is right around the corner.
